As discussed at last night's Commission meeting:
To the owner of, occupant of, person in charge, or other persons responsible for the property. Any tree, sapling, or growth of Genus Fraxinus, commonly known as Ash, located within the city limits of Canton is declared to be dangerous and a nuisance upon private property. Declaration of this nuisance as it relates to Genus Fraxinus on private property is necessary for public safety or to prevent the spread of disease or insects to public trees and places.
Removal of existing Genus Fraxinus trees on private property by the occupants, person in charge, or property owners is ordered to occur on or before May 1, 2025.
